Goal programming for decision making: An overview of the current state-of-the-art

چکیده
There have been signi®cant advances in the theory of goal programming (GP) in recent years, particularly in the area of intelligent modelling and solution analysis. The intention of this paper is to provide an overview of these developments, to detail and assess the current state-of-the-art in the subject, and to highlight areas which seem promising for future research. Modelling techniques such as detection and restoration of pareto eciency, normalisation, redundancy checking, and non-standard utility function modelling are overviewed. The connection between GP and other multiobjective-programming techniques as well as a utility interpretation of GP are examined. The rationality of ranking Multi-Criteria Decision Making techniques, and of placing GP in such a ranking, is discussed. Ó 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Lexicographic goal programming approach for portfolio optimization
This paper will investigate the optimum portfolio for an investor, taking into account 5 criteria. The mean variance model of portfolio optimization that was introduced by Markowitz includes two objective functions; these two criteria, risk and return do not encompass all of the information about investment; information like annual dividends, S&P star ranking and return in later years which is ...
متن کاملTOPSIS approach to linear fractional bi-level MODM problem based on fuzzy goal programming
The objective of this paper is to present a technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) algorithm to linear fractional bi-level multi-objective decision-making problem. TOPSIS is used to yield most appropriate alternative from a finite set of alternatives based upon simultaneous shortest distance from positive ideal solution (PIS) and furthest distance from negative ...
متن کاملA goal programming procedure for ranking decision making units in DEA
This research proposes a methodology for ranking decision making units byusing a goal programming model. We suggest a two phases procedure. In phase1, by using some DEA problems for each pair of units, we construct a pairwisecomparison matrix. Then this matrix is utilized to rank the units via the goalprogramming model.
متن کاملGoal programming-based post-disaster decision making for allocation and scheduling the rescue units in natural disaster with time-window
Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes cause enormous harm during each year. To reduce casualties and economic losses in the response phase, rescue units must be allocated and scheduled efficiently, such that it is a key issues in emergency response. In this paper, a multi-objective mix integer nonlinear programming model (MOMINLP) is proposed to minimize sum of weight...
متن کاملGoal Programming Optimization Model for Performance Management: A SCOR-Based Supply Chain Decision Alignment
This article develops an integrated model of transmitting strategies and operational activities to enhance the efficiency of supply chain management. As the second objective, this paper aims to improve supply chain performance management (SCPM) by employing proper decision-making approaches. The proposed model optimizes the performance indicator based on SCOR metrics. A process-based method is ...
متن کاملA Goal Programming Method for Finding Common Weights in DEA with an Improved Discriminating Power for Efficiency
A characteristic of data envelopment analysis (DEA) is to allow individual decision making units (DMUs) to select the most advantageous weights in calculating their efficiency scores. This flexibility, on the other hand, deters the comparison among DMUs on a common base. For dealing with this difficulty and assessing all the DMUs on the same scale, this paper proposes using a multiple objective...
